许信成很是惊讶，他当然知道“Lake Lucy”是什么意思，但他还是好奇地问道：“Lucy lake? You mean……”（“Lucy之湖？你是说……”）
“Yes， I er Lucy. I bought this lake 3 years ago， and as the ive it a new name， ahe most beautiful lakes in this world， I think I should er o beautiful girls I had known in my life， and Lucy is the first and only name I came up with.”（“是的，我以Lucy的名字来命名它。我是在3年前买下这个湖的，作为它的拥有者，我有权力为它取一个新名字，作为这世界上最美丽的一个湖，我想我应该以这世界上我所认识的最美丽的女孩子的名字来命名它，而Lucy就是我第一个想到的也是唯一想到的名字。”）
许信成惊诧地看着Anderson王子，只见他的脸上洋溢着一种开心和满足的笑容。
“Whehe purtract of this lake 3 years ago， my lawyer said I had the right to rehe lake， and put it o， it just took me oo decide that I would er Lucy. Just like that， it’s a no-brainer.”（“3年前，当我在签署购买合同的时候，我的律师说我有权力重新命名这个湖，然后把它的名字写到合同里，当时我只用了一秒钟便决定了我要以Lucy的名字来命名它。就那么简单，那是一件不用多想的事。”）
许信成回想起Anderson王子昨天下午在小溪边第一次见到Lucy时，还有在阳台上见到Lucy时，还有在整个晚宴的过程中，当他看着Lucy时，那温情脉脉的眼神和表情，其实，他从一开始就看出了Anderson王子对Lucy有着超越一般好朋友的情愫，只是没想到他竟是如此痴情，竟把自己拥有的这个美丽的湖命名为Lucy。
Anderson王子指了指前面不远处湖边的几块大石头，对许信成说：“Steve， let’s take a break. There are some stohere， let’s go sit down.”（“Steve，让我们休息一会。那边有一些大石头，我们过去那里坐坐。”）
“Ok.”（“好。”）
两人走到石头边，各自挑了一块大石头坐了下来。
Anderson王子缓缓地仰起头，仰望了一下浅蓝色的天空，望了望东边的太阳，然后低头望着浅蓝色的湖面，深深地吸了一口气，缓缓吐气，然后，像是对许信成说，又像是对自己说：“How beautiful she is!”（“她是多么美啊！”）
许信成知道，Anderson王子所说的“She”既是指眼前的被他命名为Lake Lucy的湖，又指Lucy。
Anderson王子问许信成：“Steve， how long have you known Lucy?”（“Steve，你认识Lucy多久了？”）
“Not too long， only about 2 months.”（“不是很久，只有大概两个月。”）
“I have known her for about 4 years. I still remember the first time I met her， I still remember all the details， I still remember all the mome her in her pany in New York， I wee. And I madly fell ih her at the very first sight at the very first moment.”（“我已经认识她约4年了。我至今仍记得第一次见到她时的情形，我至今仍记得所有的细节，我至今仍记得所有的时刻。我是在纽约在她的公司里见到她的，我是作为一位潜在客户过去见她的。而我在见到她的第一眼在见到她的那一瞬间便已经疯狂地爱上了她。”）
Anderson王子在说以上那段话时，他的脸上一直挂着一个有些痴迷的微笑，可是，话一说完，他脸上的神色突然一变，痴迷的微笑立刻变成了惆怅的苦笑，他深深地叹了一口气，说：“I tried to ask her out， not as a t， but as a friend. But she turned me down. She said she just wao keep our relationship a cooperative one. Of course， I wive up， so I kept trying and trying for 2 years， I kept sending her flowers every day for 2 years， but still， her ahe same. Oer 2 years， I flew to New York in my pla to give her the flowers I picked up myself from the shore of this lake. Anderson王子说到这时，他脸上的神色从惆怅变成了悲伤，而后又迅速地变成了痛苦，他又深深地叹了一口气，说：“But， her aill no. I said to her， she would have all I have; she would have this lake， the castle， my panies， all my is， all my properties， a have tle day in her life. And I would love her forever， for her， I could give up everything; for her， I could just stay at home every day; for her， I could just quit everything and just to be with her every day， every moment. But her aill no. I asked her why， Lucy just said she is a celibatarian.”
（“但是，她的答案依然是不。我对她说，她将可以拥有我拥有的一切，她将拥有这个湖，这座城堡，我的公司，我的所有投资，我的所有财产，她这辈子将不需要再工作一天。我会永远地爱着她，为了她，我可以放弃一切；为了她，我可以每天都待在家里；为了她，我甚至可以放弃一切，只求每天每一刻都和她在一起。但是，她的答案依然是不。我问她为什么，Lucy只是说她是一位独身主义者。”）
Anderson王子停了停，大大地做了好几个深呼吸，明显是在努力地调整着自己的心绪，半响之后，他才接着说：“I was so shocked. That was just unbelievable. Why would she want to be a celibatarian? So， I kept asking her why. She said she needs her owime， and she said， most importa be happy if she left her career. She said， in this world， what really matters to her is her career， what really matters to her is what she is doing now.”

Anderson王子深情看着浅蓝色的湖面，他的眼眶里泛起了晶莹的泪光，说:“I have been trying to figure out why her career is so importa after all this time， I still wure out why.”（“我一直想弄明白为什么她的事业对她来说是那么的重要，但是，过了这么久的时间，我依然还是没有弄明白为什么。”）
许信成看着此刻悲伤万分的Anderson王子，他真地为他对Lucy的深情和真情所感动，他甚至都开始有点同情他，同情到有点想把他知道的答案告诉他，但许信成知道，他无论如何都不能告诉他，因为那是他对Lucy作出的承诺，为了那个承诺，就算Anderson王子用整个城堡和庄园与他交换，他也不会违背他对Lucy的那个承诺。
Anderson王子站起身来，挺直腰身，紧握双拳，又做了一个深呼吸，目光变得异常坚毅，像是下定了某个决心似的，他坚定地说：“But I do o know why， I don’t eveo love me bag as I love her， that’s enough for me; as long as I love her， I doo be with her; as long as she is happy， I am happy; and if her career is so importahen I will d I ake her career bee a bigger success. That is the way I chose to love her， that is the way I will keep doing i is the way I will keep loving her iire life.”（“但是，我不在乎，我不需要知道为什么，我甚至都不需要Lucy一样地爱回我。只要我爱她，就已经足够了，只要我爱她，我甚至都不需要和她在一起；只要她开心，我就开心；如果她的事业对她来说是如此的重要，那么，我将愿意做所有我能做的事去令到她的事业更成功。这就是我选择爱她的方式，这就是我这辈子将一直坚持的方式，这就是我这一生将一直爱她的方式。”）
许信成听到Anderson王子最后说的那几句话，他真地被他深深地感动了，他心想：“Anderson王子刚刚说的才是真爱，才是这世界上最伟大的真爱！”
许信成也站了起来，很是感慨地说道：“Aoday， I have lear valuable thing from you; today， I have known what true love really means; today， I have bee a true believer that there IS true love in this world.”（“Anderson，今天，我从你身上学到一件最宝贵的事；今天，我懂得什么是真爱；今天，我相信这个世界原来是真地有真爱的。”）
